I had an extremely unpleasant experience with your receptionist, Jaine, both over the phone and in person. When I called to inquire about the doctor’s first and last name to research their background before scheduling an appointment, Jain responded rudely, saying she didn’t know how to pronounce the name because “it’s not an American name.” When I asked her to spell it, she refused, claiming she didn’t have time and that the clinic doesn’t share such information. She even questioned why I needed the doctor’s name in the first place. I explained that I wanted to ensure I was comfortable before booking, but she brusquely said, “We don’t do that here,” and blamed the clinic’s relocation for not having time to assist me. Despite this, I scheduled an appointment because my insurance directed me to your clinic. However, when I arrived today after receiving multiple text reminders about my appointment, Jain told me it had been canceled because the clinic didn’t accept my insurance. She took my insurance card, checked it herself, and then informed me—quite rudely—that my insurance wasn’t accepted. I later checked my voicemail and found just one message from November 25th stating they were missing an insurance number. When I called back and spoke to another staff member, they confirmed the clinic does accept my insurance and apologized for the misunderstanding. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. If your clinic is undergoing updates, I strongly suggest updating your staff as well. Jaine’s behavior was unhelpful and disrespectful, and there are many professional and courteous individuals who would better represent your clinic.

Wouldn’t even provide basic cleaning unless I agreed to their $500 in after insurance services which the DDS never even explained to me before writing up my treatment plan. Walked out, never switched dentists so quickly *Update - went to another Dentist and the new dentist's treatment plan was 2 fillings - $50 and they provided basic cleaning and fluoride services without holding me hostage. 7 Day Dental is a scam, they will find all the possible insurance codes to charge you for every single itemized charge possible (and even ones not required) so they can get paid by insurance rather than just try to help you so you can get your teeth clean and fixed.

Doctor Chung has built a wonderful network of family-friendly dental offices. You can always tell when people enjoy who they work for and I can see the staff smiling through their surgical masks no matter how difficult their day might be. From the front desk and back again there are friendly, engaging, highly capable professionals everywhere you turn. Once the initial forms were completed I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in the waiting area before being led to a chair, except for the time they had just moved into temporary office quarters due to a remodeling project. Doctor Mahmoudian and his angelic assistants are masters at their craft, and they worked halfway through their lunch hour to complete my work and try to get their afternoon patients back on schedule. While operating, they are a synchronized team working as one who speak softly and assuredly to keep the patient informed and relaxed every step of the way. I've heard that there are people who don't like to go to the dentist, but I have enjoyed every minute I have spent at the Laguna Woods 7-Day Dental office, and I am looking forward to my next visit already. I'm getting new crowns!
