About Me
Dr. Kim was first drawn to dentistry for its rare combination of science and hands-on work. As an Oral Surgeon, he appreciates his role in providing pain relief to his patients through surgical procedures. He applies a caring, detail-oriented approach to each patient’s case, taking time to solve their dental issues effectively.

After graduating from the University of California-Irvine, Dr. Kim received his D.D.S. from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He continued his studies receiving his M.D. and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery certificate from the University of California-Los Angeles. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. And he speaks Korean, also.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kim enjoys travel, camping hiking and biking.

Gentle Dental Brea has by far been the most attentive, caring, and friendly dentist office I have ever been to. Because of my past experiences with other dental offices, I would have never thought I'd be using those words to define one. From the moment you walk in, the office staff immediately greet you by name! They truly know how to tend to your needs and answer any questions you may have. They are super friendly and highly informed. Once you get called to a room, it doesn't matter who you get because they're all amazing at their job. They truly care about you and your well being. I love walking into the space because I know I'm going to be taken care of. I could not recommend a better dental office than this one!

The staff at Gentle Dental are very professional. The office, waiting room and examination rooms are always clean. They have state of the art equipment to to give you the necessary exams needed to care for your teeth. I have been going to Gental Dental for several years now and highly recommend them.

Reviews are why I chose this office and they didn't disappoint. The whole staff was warm and welcoming. The doctor was great with my kids and they did their best to be mindful of insurance coverage and out of pocket costs when recommending treatment.

Dr. Patel and the staff are excellent. They had me feeling relaxed and in secure hands. The manager had the perfect game plan for me to get braces. I went in feeling nervous, and left feeling excited for my future smile .
